I hereby request a review of the Canadian Grand Prix similar to my review of the Spanish Grand Prix. Pretty sure the Mrs. (no pics) and I can make Canada next season.

Thank you, merci, grassy arse, however you wanna say it.

Haha, I will go back and see what I need to do to equal that review. Can include lots of food pics, but they are pinky up type places.

I thought blowmeauburn was going as well, but last I saw was an update he was leaving Burlington. Hope the Canadian Mount-mes didn't get him.

Now hold on a minute sir. I didn't give this thread the benefit of a full Barcelona culinary scene review. I just did the race and my experience getting there and back. But I will take your food recommendations with great interest.

Nolaclap was at Canada last year. Got his number before and by whatever chance ended up sitting on the same row about 15 people down. Crazy.

Doing Austin this year, but staying about an hour away.

I do wonder what comes of it all if the Alfa merging happens.

Alpha is a sponsor. They don't own any part of Sauber and I doubt that would change if they go to Haas.

I wish I could make Austin this year. We have a wedding the night before though, and that would mean we spend about $3,000 ($850 for flights, $1600 for tickets, $250 for hotel, and $250 for food and drink) for 24 hours, which would be a pretty hard sell to the Mrs. (no pics, but she's a HAAS fan).

If we didn't have someone providing the house in Austin it would be a no-go.

To give you an idea, Montreal 500/ticket with a little premium paid for where we sat. Less than 900/roundtrip to Montreal (Burlington cheaper; rental needed). Hotel 450/night; good part of town a block from Metro and in our seats within 45minutes.

Getting to and from the track is about 30 total for the weekend. 3 day pass.

I feel confident without doing any research the Mrs. and I could get to travel to Montreal and back, eat and drink well, and attend the race and qualifying for less than $3,000.

Our seats in Catalunya were $258 for a three-day pass. Wish I would've splurged a little and got grandstand seats near turn 1 but c'est la vie. Now we were already over there for vacation so our hotel was expensive, but that's cool.

I'll be in Austin. We're trying to figure out if we'll stay at my buddy's place in HSB and drive or camp out. We could only get an RV pass in the grass lot (which kinda blows) and have a parking pass too just in case. IDK we'll figure it out when it gets closer.

Pretty sure I've seen my race for the year. Maybe we can do it next year. Miami would be easy to get to for many on this board, but Montreal looks to be really cool.

Did watch the first 30 laps or so of the Danny Ric/Will Arnett simulcast.

Woof. They need some work. RIC seems lost the whole time and you can tell he is way more interested in the race than giving any kind of coverage. Patrick Dempsey is someone I could listen to in the place of Arnett.
