Williams times are fools gold, running on the softs and still not even faster than third.

Günther Steiner
@BanterSteiner

This year is all about cutting costs. If you think our new pitwall stand is a bit on the small side, you haven’t seen the latest update yet! It’s my own personal Haas hutch and I think it’s fricking snug!

Eh, it wax Sargeant behind the wheel. Not too shabby for an undercooked rookie.

Watched the first episode of DtS. It's so hard to watch knowing how Ferarri throws it all away.

Another difference in the way teams manage their moneys… 3 people on the HaasF1 pit-wall as against 7/8 on the AstonMartinF1’s

From yesterday F1 Data Analysis

Alonso's Aston was quick today! The car was excellent in the first braking zone, in the twisty sections and on the last straight

The Ferrari dominated the straights! But the RB was indeed down on power

VER was fastest in only 17.9% of the lap... but got the best time!

I know Ferrari was fast in the straights last year as well but they also completely dominated the slower turns. This seems to show that Red Bull now owns the low speed corners and by a big margin.

Not bagging on the drivers, Albon was fast yesterday as well, but he was still on the softs.

They did it last year during the season/qualifying. They be on the softs and qualify midpack only to fall to the back when it came time to run the same tires.

I do hope they get it together though.

Early observations from watching and then reading the boards and what not:

- the top 3 all seem pretty pleased. Redbull still team to beat but Mercedes sounds much more confident than they did last year.

- McLaren appears to the be dissatisfied across the board.

- Aston Martin appears to be jumping McLaren in the best of the rest pack.

- haas still pinching Pennies. They will start out with a top 10 finish then fade hard.

- not sure what to make of Williams. Hopefully not as shite as last year.

I feel like the longer it goes with no word from Stoll/Aston the more confirmation that he's going to be missing a few races. Lance isn't even present at testing.

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team

@MercedesAMGF1

We’ve confirmed it was a hydraulic failure that caused George’s car to stop on track.

That’s likely to be the end of our running for today.

Back on track tomorrow

FA not playing around!

Aston Martin is impressing across the paddock so far.

Some engineers have estimated they will be the 4th fastest team, potentially challenging Mercedes.

Fernando Alonso's current fastest time - a 1:32.205 - is almost six tenths faster than Aston Martin's best time in qualifying for the 2022 Bahrain GP.

Don't fall for the glory runs. Zhou was on softs, and set that time in the evening when it was cooler compared to Max's time on mediums and in the heat of the day.

Watched a couple episodes of DtS.

Don't feel bad at all for Mick. He sounds soft in the episode just like he came across last year.

And Kevin was in his corner until it was obvious it wasn't happening. Steiner asked him for driver suggestions and he said Ric right away. "He'll want ten nillion! He isn't coming here!"

I think he suggested Hulk after that but not positive.

I watched episode 1 this morning, about halfway through 2 before having to leave.

I was sort of hoping we'd get some footage of a Mazepin meltdown when they let him go, or had to phone up his dad and tell him they were pulling the logos.

Didn’t he sign a 5 or 7 year contract in 2020 or 21?
