Time will tell. Max has to go to the Meds or softs at some point.

Someone will try a two stop, but those hards look hella fast.

I was just sitting here thinking that this might be a 2 stop. Didn't expect it with the new surface, but they switched off the mediums faster than I thought they would.

Alonso did great in his first stint.

Edit: Oh, maybe not, behind Sainz. Stayed out too long.

Edit 2: Oh, he's fine. He'll probably stay on podium.

I was thinking it was crazy trying to push the hards all the way to soft range, but a few seem to be attempting

Hannah is on the pit wall this race. Max has it locked up.

Wow, MAG drove his arse off that first stint! Had a slow start off line but then stabilized and fought FER hard! HUL too.

I think for Haas he’s in the sport for worldwide advertising. But for the actual team, doing well in the USA would be huge and they seemed more focused in this one. Doing better in US is better for their bigger US fanbase.

Checo staying within the window he needs to. Maybe gaining just a touch.

I like the tire strategy for Max best. Hards to start and go long. Meanwhile those on mediums put down rubber - so later when Max goes to Mediums his will last longer. And by then mediums will be the faster tire

Bingo. And the conspiracy theorists will be out big time.

Perez not eating into the gap as much as I think he should be at this point.

But the best thing for Perez would be for Alonso to close up enough so Max comes out behind him, and maybe Alonso can hold him off enough for Perez to close the deal.

Hulkenberg is just out there dying now. Gotta make a call at some point.

There we go. Pits as I type that.

If that is the case then every single front running team missed.

Max should be pitting in a couple of laps. Gonna be fascinating to see how this medium does.

Chuck this year

Looking forward to seeing if Max can get past Checo in the last 3-5 laps on mediums
