We already have our first launch date. Aston Martin will unveil its new AMR23 F1 challenger with a live event from its Silverstone campus on February 13.

Good.

Public figures, especially athletes and entertainers, don't have a right to free speech.

Ehh, while I think they all need to shut up, I don’t like it coming from the sports regulating body.

I am interested to see how Hamilton reacts.

Only driver to stand up to Ben so far.

Granted, easy to do so when you are invaluable to the sport. Seb learned that. As do other drivers when they get more years. They say what they have held in for years.

F1 related, but not real F1... Think some of you all said you have racing setups at the house.

Looking to do the same... Go the kiddo a PS5 and F1 22'

Gonna order a Playseat for the chair, but not sure about the wheel, servo, and peddles. Assuming Thrustmaster is what to go with?

Gonna do the Ferrari F1000 Wheel, T-G2II Servo, and T-LCM Peddles.

Thoughts? Advice?

Get a very sturdy base with as much adjustability as possible. If it’s not to your comfort and fit you won’t want to get in the chair.

Anyone know when F1 will sell tickets to practice rounds in Barcelona? You can buy tickets to practice rounds and other non-race events for Monaco already.

You can only buy a 3 day pass for Barcelona. I believe this is true for nearly all the races.

The project would be based out of the US with a support facility in the UK, and feature a separate PU partnership originally as a deal is already agreed with a supplier #F1

quote:

Andretti Global and General Motors have announced their intention to partner on a potential Formula 1 entry following the FIA’s announcement it may invite expressions of interest.

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem tweeted that he had asked the governing body to look into the potential of adding new teams to the F1 grid earlier this week, and in a joint announcement Thursday morning, Andretti and GM say they are pursuing an entry for Cadillac Racing.

The partnership would see GM enter F1 for the first time, with an entry date not yet identified as more details are required from the FIA regarding a potential submission.

In response, Formula 1 says it is excited by the amount of potential teams that want to join the grid but reiterates Andretti is not the only team attempting to do so.

“There is great interest in the F1 project at this time with a number of conversations continuing that are not as visible as others,” an F1 statement read.

“We all want to ensure the championship remains credible and stable and any new entrant request will be assessed on criteria to meet those objectives by all the relevant stakeholders. Any new entrant request requires the agreement of both F1 and the FIA.”

More details to follow.

This could be very interesting, I know Cadillac already competes in the LeMans type racing and held its own if I remember correctly. Seems like a Win/Win for GM and F1 especially with the American interest.

I searched for an offseason or 2023 thread for a while before posting the Andretti news. Yeah, its time...
