It shouldn't have taken them 5 laps to clear a stopped car off the track. Ridiculous. They are consistently slow as frick.

So someone 17 secs ahead should have been subjected to a red flag for entertainment? And before anyone says Abu Dhabi - that was a yellow flag, no decision to red flag and it played out, car was cleared just like here except the car was stuck in gear and took longer to move.

Just to be clear, they shortened the yellow in abu dhabi just to finish under green.

No they did not they just did not release all the lapped cars, and they really should have released them a lap earlier. No one was proven right about anything. Also, you are all acting like a race has never ended under yellow.

Races end all the time under yellow. Abu Dhabi should have ended under yellow. It sucks, but that is racing. They fricked up releasing cars because they weren't going to release them until RBR asked. The goal was to get back under green, and they chose some half measure.
They changed procedure just to end under green for the DtS fans. It is F1 under Liberty.
Today they stuck to procedure that has been in place forever.
