K Mag put on a nice lap! 3rd fastest, but the track is drying. What’s the weather outlook between now and Quals?

Looking at the radar there is going to be another big rain between now and then. The future radar I am looking at only goes 1.5 hours into the future so I don't know if it will be actually raining at the start of qualy.

ETA looked at another radar that goes out farther. It will rain between now and qualy but should stop 30 minutes prior to the start.

Haas and Ferrari had a great practice but Lewis had an abysmal one. The weather is going to make qualy and possibly the sprint race interesting.

I'm seeing that Wolff claims that Russell had to lift on the straight as the car was bouncing so bad.

Steiner: "It is always the same. As soon as we have a good car, we have copied. When we have a bad car, that's where we are supposed to be. I don't find this very simple way of thinking intelligent. You also have to respect people. We are not here just to fill the grid." "We are also here to beat others. And usually it [accusations] comes from people who did a bad job. And then they say because we [Haas] did a good job, we must have done something that is not regular. I don't think that's correct to say and not sportsmanlike."

He certainly isn't wrong. There are only 4 teams "supposed" to be able to build a quick car, anyone else building a fast car has to be cheating. F1 gonna F1.

Not raining now during F3 qualy but I am afraid all the drying they are doing will go to naught.

Track is drying out and radar looks good.

This is going to be a difficult weekend. Wet FP1, damp to drying Q, likely dry Sprint and likely wet race.

And they can't change the setups after Q.

WU shows it completely clear through qualy, Accuweather shows rain starting in a few minutes and continuing for about 1:15. Dunno who is right.

With the clouds and such it appears it could rain at any time no matter what the radar is showing. Real crapshoot.

And it's only in the low 50's so the track dries very slowly.

The F3's were starting to get a dry line going after a lot of running. If that holds up Q will be really interesting as no one will want to go off line to get out of the way as it will cool their tires off quickly.

My favorite comment of the day from one of the Express articles:

O/U 1.5 red flags during quali?

Bleachers on the hillside. Classic as it should be.

*Not a fan of all the newer tracks. Especially the street circuits.

Well you've got Latifi on track so that's good for atleast 1.

ETA: Right in time for Albon's brakes to explode
