No I'm being serious, that race was a disaster. Boring and just a mess overall

May not have been ideal but given some of the stinkers Bristol has put on in the last 13 years to call it the most boring Is absurd

If may not have been the 1999 night race, but to call it boring is ridiculous. My only complaint is it should have been a night race.

Yeah because Daniel Suarez pushes the meter.

Just because you don't like (or are indifferent to) a driver that was up front, doesn't mean it was a bad (boring) race. Look, my driver (#4) hit everything except the pace truck yesterday and was never in contention to win. I still found the race intriguing and I don't think I missed a single lap. I'd take what we saw yesterday 1,000 times before we have a 2000 New Hampshire race, 2008 Indy Race or another 1.5 mile snoozer. THOSE were boring races. Yesterday was not. If you didn't like it, I don't know what you're looking for in a race (so why don't you enlighten us?)

Do you know how good it would be for the sport if Suarez would have won? Do you know how much national buzz the series would have gotten for a Latin driver to win (on top of them racing on dirt for the first time in 50 years)? Sure he may not be the most popular diver, but all it would take for him (or any other driver to be) would be a couple of wins. If he keeps running in the top 10 like he has been, he'll have the fans by the end of the year.

Side note, I'm more impressed with Trackhouse than 23XI to this point. Sure Bubba keeps running into unfortunate event after unfortunate event while running well... but yesterday could have been prevented had he stayed on the bottom.

Suarez is quietly impressing people.

Yeah IDK what he's looking for, either.

I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday. Glad we are doing it again next year.

And an important thing, there were no major tire issues. Props to Steve Phelps and Goodyear.

In all honesty it would make it worse. Just another playoff spot being taken up for another driver trying to get in at the end of the season.

Suarez's racing is about as good as his iRacing. But I'll give him credit yesterday

It would also bring tons of new fans to the sport. One win isn't a playoff lock this year.

Lol, no he wouldn't. Suarez missed his opportunity with JGR. And now is one of the more annoying drivers on the track.

If he hasn't brought in any fans because of Pitbull now he isn't doing much more going forward

Clearly you've missed the part where he was running top 5 in Atlanta before a penalty, and has done reasonably well for a brand spanking new team - they're not looking like a one week wonder.

Yeah and Kurt Busch was leading too and finished 39th. Wonderful.

Suarez is lucky to sniff a top-20 every week. That's not helping his fandom.

Trust me, I love Eldora and take any chance I can to go throughout the year, but Knoxville is probably better suited. The truck race there in July will be great.

If the Bristol race had ended with a bump in run for the win it would have been the best race ever. Especially if Hamlin had spun Joey. The place would have sold out the fall race and the next dirt one.

The dirt race did what it was meant to do. And that was put the media spotlight on NASCAR which it did.

Suarez missed his opportunity with JGR

His crew chief quit during his rookie season for personal reasons and then he and Graves were starting to build a report before JGR decided to move Graves and convinced his original crew chief back, and then Toyota basically said pick him or Jones because Truex is going to get one of your rides, and they went with the younger Jones. He goes to SH for a year, but the drop from the 4 to the 41 and 14 at times is pretty evident. Then last year he was in a back of the pack car. Trackhouse is committed to be a competitive team and have been getting more competitive week to week.

I don't understand this take, this is a guy who lost a sponsor because someone shared a pic of him on social media hanging out with fans in the infield one morning and handing out donuts, and the sponsor was pissed that the other company got the free advertising.

FWIW I think the sponsor was simply looking for a way out for whatever reason, and they found one
