I don’t mind Chase. I just don’t get the appeal other than last name.

The name is a lot of it, that's fair. But the more important thing is the kid can flat out drive. When your crew chief compares your raw talent to KyBu18(and he's worked w/both) that's all I need to hear. Plus when you watch him you can see it. In a lot of areas he's already better than his dad, and he is a top 10-12 driver ever.

I just feel you need to prepare yourself for Chase running the sport. He's about to go on a Gordon mid-late 90's run of titles where he wins 3 in 4 years and 4 in 6 or 7. I don't think it was a coincidence that Jimmie's last race was the race where Chase won his 1st title. Literally a proverbial passing of the torch, not unlike Petty's last race/Gordon's first race at AMS in 92.

I don’t think Chase will pull a Gordon type run. There’s too much money invested and now you have manufacture racing in the crown jewel and playoff races.

That's fair. But I do think he repeats this year and could see him go on a New Jersey Devils type run(3 in 7 years) or even a modified Spurs-type run. They won 5 in 10 years, I can easily see 4 in 8 or 9. That'd basically be a title every other year.

Having said that, I think Larson wins one in the next couple of years and KyBu18 wins at least one in the next 3 years.

Bowyer is going to be a star in the booth. He’s a guy people will relate to

He just oozes charisma. Not unlike Junior at NBC.

Just saw the Chase/Blaney crash for the first time. I've seen a lot worse and that wasn't even intentional. Whoever last night said that it was has a vendetta.

If Wallace wins the pole that is pure cheating like they did for Danica.

I think it will be a Hendrick car or a car that has Hendrick power under the hood. They are the best in qualifying for the 500.

Apparently we have some sort of light problem at the track delaying qualifying.

Power failure on part of the track; lights out. Drivers say "whatever, let's go".
