LSU Eunice punches it’s ticket to Enid Oklahoma. Won today against a very tough East Central. To get there, LSUE had to beat Pearl River twice at The Dub.

From what I gather, the tiebreaker in each pool is higher seed. So the Cajuns have an advantage there.

We play Texas State and App State. I have no expectations

That is what I was wondering. Seems like two teams going 1-1 is likely going to happen in a pool or two. Cajuns have the pitching to win this thing but they’re going to have to find a way to score some runs.

The more I think about it, this could be really advantageous for the higher seed. We're in a pod with Texas State and Appalachian State. Texas State and App State play on Tuesday. If Texas State beats Appalachian State and the Cajuns turn around and beat Texas State on Wednesday, our Thursday game vs. App State means nothing because at worst it would be a 3-way tie and we're the highest seed. So we could pitch the back of the bullpen against App State and then start Cook in the semifinal on Saturday.

Southern defeats Prairie View 8-4 and advances to face Jackson State in the SWAC Tournament Championship game (Sunday at noon).

That’s a good point. I was wondering what the advantage was of the 1 seed other than playing a “lesser opponent” which is kind of not a huge advantage since the Sun Belt was really bunched up this year.

That’s a pretty massive advantage if true. Good for them, that’s how it should be.

Southern and Jackson State on ESPN3 right now for the SWAC Championship

Jackson State did not lose a conference game this season and has not lost in the SWAC Tournament.

JSU’s starter is apparently the SWAC pitcher of the year but the Jags lead 3-2 headed to the bottom of the second.

This "ace' has already hit 4 batters, and it's the 3rd inning.

I’m thinking the first one to 15 is going to win this game

I was hoping the Jags would eventually hit this gimmicky pitcher. Quick pitching and pausing like he’s Johnny Cueto

Also, these announcers don’t know the strike zone... at all

And they always get a regional every year. Get ready for Tech to have them.

For those not watching, Jackson State makes the catch and goes through the bull pen door where he drops it and it is ruled a home run

Jags lead 7-6

I have never seen anything remotely like thsi
