Do you trust Minor and Lynn? Would you consider either an "ace"?

Next year Choo comes off the payroll, they need to hope Odor plays like he is paid as that deal sucks.

I felt confident in every start last season that if the offense could could somehow score 3-runs in their starts we would win the game.

So yeah, I guess. If our offense wasn’t abysmal we would have made the wild card.

You sound scared

The Yankees window passed getting cucked by the Astros while we tanked and acquired assets

Yeah the deal sucks but we are already halfway through it.

Paying $12 mil a year to a dude is nothing in baseball.

Yankees have paid more for guys to not play for them. Probably will have to pay Ellsbury double that amount.

Yankees act like can afford it, Texas does not. They paid ARod and Ellsbury to go away.

Minor and Lynn were good but that was Minors best season since 2013 and he will be 32 next year. Lynn has always been an innings eater who is a great #3, never an "ace" by any means. He will be 33 in May.

I expect a big move to happen this weekend. Donaldson to the Rangers or resigned by Braves.

Milwaukee's acquisition of Luis Urias would seem to take them out of the mix for Didi Gregorius. With Keston Hiura and Urias manning the middle infield, there doesn't appear to be a spot for Sir Didi. The Phillies, Reds and Yankees are among the teams in play for Gregorius.

The Orioles are working to trade RHP Dylan Bundy, according to a source. No deal is imminent, but one appears to be getting close. The 27-year-old went 7-14 with a 4.79 ERA last season, and he's entering the second of three arbitration-eligible seasons.

Royals LHP Tim Hill is drawing plenty of trade interest, with the Yankees chief among the suitors. Hill isn't arbitration-eligible until next year, leaving 4 years of club control. Hill, who turns 30 in February, had a 3.63 ERA/1.109 WHIP and 39 Ks in 39.2 IP (46 G) in 2019.

No thanks.

It’s also been confirmed that we plan to be until the end with Rendon so that would be a total shock.

Donaldson on a 2-3 year deal just makes more sense. He provides a bat with above-average defense and doesn't commit them to a huge contract.

Add Wheeler then next year add someone like Betts, Bryant, DJ, Bauer, Ray, Springer, Pederson, Paxton, Stroman, or Semien

No I don't consider either pitchers to be lead dogs. I like both as solid 3's that can outperform what's expected of them on any given year. Neither are aces and you'd be fooling yourself if you think they are.

Minor has been solid for multiple seasons now. Whether you want to call him a top end guy or not, idc. He improved vastly in 2019 after moving back to the rotation in 18. I watched 50+ games last year in the ballpark so me being fooled isn’t going to be an issue.

Lynn I can agree with.

I’d love to get Wheeler, but I think he goes elsewhere. I do hope we at least offer him.

Given free agent reliever prices, this seems like a good deal. Given free agent reliever volatility (and reliever volatility in general) this seems like a bad deal.

I guess the lower price puts it more in the good column.

He had a 4.18 ERA in 157 innings last season not to mention his FIP has been higher than his ERA recently.

Edwards was a good reliever not too long ago. He could be serviceable and moved for a piece or at worst they are out $950K.

I like the move.
