In the same link from earlier

There was also a dramatic finish for Katusha-Alpecin‘s Rick Zabel, who sprinted across the line only to miss the time cut by four seconds before commissaires took mercy on the German and allowed him to stay in the race.

If I'm being honest, just the last climb. The stage was a winner, but the field was not up to the task.

I realize why now

Kittel was only 42:51 behind

Cavendish was 1:05:32 behind the race winner... when you looked he may not have crossed the finish line yet

Renshaw didn’t make time today.

and this poor guy right here... I think he was trying to stay with Cav and help him up the mountains... but then realized it was a lost cause and tried to fight back to get into the time only to lose to the clock still

Got tied up at work and missed the last ten miles, just watched it and holy shite. What a game plan and execution by sky.

Bardet, Nibali and and Quintana looking at each other and watching Froome run away from them

Yes SMS, I'd watch the last 15 kms or so.

Watching Sky slowly choke the life out of this group of mountain goats is something to behold. They’re driving them into the ground and they can’t match G and C when the time comes to go. Unless I see sky fall apart soon this is over except for how Sky handles G and C going forward. It may take care of itself, but the longer G hangs will make it interesting for sure.
ETA TD might be the wild card but I’ll be surprised if he gets out of the last week without a bad day. Hell, it might happen tomorrow...he burned a few matches today I fear.
Tomorrow...

Also, guess the alcohol-blood content of Dutch cycling fans on the Alpe! LOL

My dad lives about half an hour away from the Col de la Madeleine, but instead he’s up at 6am to go the top of the Croix de Fer!
Insanely jealous and I need to get over there one year

I think Froome takes the yellow tomorrow and sky controls the peloton from here on out.

But yeah if Thomas keep hanging around, it'll be interesting.

If I was another team and try to play them against one another. Make Froom chase down his own teammate

at this point... can we just say Team Sky is in yellow?

they're in control of this whole thing unless something completely unexpected happens

Umm you know that isn’t how they work. Even in the Contador Armstrong Discovery Astana years they wouldn’t chase down each other.

I think the UCI just edits Sagan in front of the camera in every stage. Are we sure he really rides a full stage?
