Wut. I think it was Simon or somebody similar who destroyed him at Wimbledon, which made no sense to me given a power guy should dominate a little fella on grass. Apparently, flyweight counterpunchers are his kryptonite. I guess if I banged Ester all day, I wouldn't care about much else.

Currently: Wawrinka, and I am not quite sure if I pick hard or red clay. Has to be someone who can hit through the court, and has to be doggedly conditioned. For me it wouldn't be Murray, serve's not good enough.

Berdych 7 for 32 (22%) service points won. Take out the 3 aces and... just wow. 1 for 15 (7%) on 2nd serves.

This is the first time I've ever seen or heard of a top ten men's player getting double bageled.

Djokovic beats Nadal 2 and 3, or thereabouts.

Joker in the -250 range. That's about as cheap as you will see for another year or so if you are that confident. The 3.5 games line might be worth a look.

ETA: It's closer to -300 now.

Nole wins 7-5, 7-6. I didn't see it, but was keeping an eye on the score. I think that Rafa was up a break in both sets. At 2 hours, 24 minutes, it looks to have been a struggle.

Djokovic just took the second set against Nishikori in Rome to send it to the third. Murray is through to the finals.

djokovic, nadal, nishikori, and murray seem to easily be the four best players on clay at this time

eta: also maybe just the four best players in the world

Didn't get to watch the djokovic nishikori match but sounds like it was a great one. Murray has had a cake walk to this final and if he can't beat novak coming off the last two long matches he never will.

yeah that top draw was absolutely brutal compared to the bottom. I guess it's not Andy's fault that wawrinka's arse got blasted in the early rounds, but that really was a weak draw.

now if nole comes out tomorrow and dusts murray, after those 2 brutal matches, then we got a GOAT dude on our hands

novak hasn't even played well this tournament but just has enough in the tank to pull through the toughest draw.
