Last year I thought the Terps got hosed out of a seed. But yeah, this team had no business beating Hopkins. Or Duke. It was a miracle run that ended when reality intruded. No complaints for the season.

Loyola winning is going to have a huge impact on D1 lax. Now, the non powerhouse programs KNOW that anyone has a shot with proper recruiting, offseason & in-season work, & a community's support.
Growth of lax will continue in big numbers.
Even with the attendance issues of Championship Weekend.

It's really stupid that they hold it in Foxboro frequently. I have no idea why. Just rotate it between Baltimore, Philly, and the Meadowlands once every three years. I wouldn't even mind a Baltimore, Philly, Baltimore, Meadowlands rotation. There's almost always a Maryland team in it and they just support the game so well in that state. Even if a team like Duke or Virginia makes it, it's not an extremely long drive to Baltimore. While lax is decently popular in Massachusetts, it's just not close to big enough out there to get a large crowd for two teams not from the area.

I haven't been up there to Foxboro, so I really don't know.
But the event needs to be held somewhere that everyone can get in/out of with relative ease in time to be home for work on Tuesday after the holiday.
OR push the semi finals to Friday night back-to-back & then play the championship game on Sunday.

And Loyola was the BEST team too. The ACC region is a hot bed, but Lacrosse is really catching on.
