OK, I'd probably rank it (for me):

1. High bar
2. Vault
3. Parallel bars
4. Rings
5. Floor
6. Pommel horse

Do any of you guys have any idea how gymnastics scoring really is supposed to be done?

I have absolutely no idea, but how did that guy get such a high score - 16.75 - on the vault when he didn't stick the landing.

The U.S. only getting 15.5's on the parallel bars when tey seemed to do so well.

I wish that the commentators would remember that 99% of the t.v. audience has NO IDEA how these things are supposed to be scored, and then explain accordingly.

The degree of difficulty on the vault for the Chinese was a lot higher than the U.S.--the last guy to go had a degree of difficulty of 7.2--that's at least responsible for 1 point in the difference after 4 events.

hopefully the pressure from the ChiCom Govt's threat to execute them if they fail will start to play in.

The scoring now is based off of the difficult and execution of a routine.

Difficulty rating starts at 0 and increases with each stunt performed.

Execution begins at a 10 and judges take mandatory deductions for errors.
