This. Hockey is strong here for a southern city.

Strong in Nashville too. Shows how sucky of a sports town Atlanta is.

Total BS

I remember having baseball games while the NHL playoffs were going on during the Stars runs in 1999 and 2000 and all my coaches were wearing walkman radios while coaching in the middle of our games

Compeltely wrong according to the rule and interpretation in the 1999 season

quote:

1999 NHL Rulebook - Rule 78-b: "Unless the puck is in the goal crease area, a player of the attacking side not possessing the puck may not stand in the goal crease. If the puck should enter the net while such conditions prevail, the goal shall not be allowed. If an attacking player has physically interfered with the goalkeeper prior to or during the scoring of a goal...the goal will be disallowed and a penalty for goaltender interference will be assessed."

Here is an interview and video analysis with the ref right after the game. He explains the rule and the interpretation the ref's made with the league's help. Good Goal!

Have you been to Dallas? The Stars are strongly supported.

Look at the shirts the fans are wearing. They're supporting the OPPONENTS (especially if Chicago or Detroit are in town).
