Not sure if this is still the case but for sure in the 90s/2000's Bowling was on ESPN at Noon every Sunday after NFL Countdown. NFL was broadcast on the Network Channels so rather than compete with any coverage of a major sport ESPN would have bowling on.

He actually explained in the barstool interview that he misspoke and that wasn't what he was meaning to say
