Well folks, college football is DONE. Now that that little appetizer is out of the way, we can move on to big boy sports. Thats right buddy, NCAA BASKETBALL.

And in case you weren't aware, TONIGHT (TOMORROW NIGHT in CST land) we have the GRANDDADDY OF THEM ALL on ESPN. 9 PM! (8PM! central) your tv will be tuned into the only game that could top what you witness here last night (tonight). Round 234 of the series is set to unfold. 13-1 NC State and Kevin Keats is a winner take on 11-3 UNC and Roy Knew (the classes were fake).

Our highly underrated NC State team is in year 2 of having a real coach (Nice try gottfried) and is looking to shoot up well into the top 10 with a couple of wins this week.

So pick your side fellas. Do you wanna be some sausage munchin northeastern carpetbagging transplant that doesnt understand a lick about what it means to tailgate in a southernly manner?

OR DO YOU WANNA BE A BIG DICK WOLF (Foles approved)

Well his team didn’t do very well in college either, so sign of things to come I guess.

Anyway, historically this matchup will move back into second place for most matches where both teams are ranked.

Here’s the rest of the top 10, as a reminder why insert conference here that isn’t the ACC isn’t rivalry relevant:

UNC-Maryland (37)
UNC-UVa (31)
UNC-Wake (30)
UCLA-Zona (30)
Okla-KU (29)
Duke-Maryland (29)
Syracuse-UConn (27)

Acc honestly doesn’t seem to be a juggernaut this year. I expect duke to roll. I’ve heard unc has this nice freshman but from what I’ve seen it seems like they will be 2 and done in the tourney and Virginia will choke as usual. I think this NCAA tourney this year will be one of the best of all time due to the parity cbb has this year. It’s early January though and things may start to take shape later on

Go 'Pack! Should be a fun, high-scoring affair tonight.

Here's to hoping Luke Maye doesn't drop 30 & 20 again.

Yea, without Maye basically being unstoppable and having the game of his life, we wouldve swept them last year. The times they are a changin my friend

Excited about tonight’s game. State is legit and Keats has done a fine job in a short time. I like it when State is competitive. Roy still considers State to be UNC’s main bb rival.

Happy for UNC to get the road win.
The three seniors came up BIG - even with Cam missing the last 12 min of the game.

Coby White, as a freshman, handled the moment well.

I know UNC likes to say NCSU isn't a rival just to tick of the Wolfies, but the ACC putting this game so early was strange, imo.

Good road win for the Heels.

ACC scheduling is a head scratcher.
They really back load the schedule with most of UNC’s toughest league games occurring in late Feb/early March.
I don’t think the ACC figured State would be this good this year - hence the early game.
