Ugh no. That’s now how that works at all

But was a helluva ride by the 1st timer. He’ll still be wearing the white jersey tomorrow

I know but may that kid poured everything out for Bardet to even have to opportunity. I've seen that play out many times, know how it works.

Also happy because I took Bardet odds when he linked up with him during the stage

Proper ride from Bardet and team. Bardet attacking when the pace fell off with teammates up the road was brilliant. Glad they held on.

Great ride for Bardet. Great first stage. Cycling always delivers.

It’s funny seeing the sprinters trying to stay under time cut on the climbs.
Cycling is HARD. Jacobsen and Cavendish made it with 10 mins left.

Jasper might be hard to beat at this rate for green jersey.

These men have my Massive respect just to finish

Wout would like a word about the Green jersey. If Jasper isn’t dominate (elbows people out his way) then it could be close still in week 3

That was an incredible ride into the finish! Good on Romain and Van den Broek. Holding off the pack took a heck of an effort.

I do miss a good prologue though.

Now that Sagan and Pinot are no longer in the peloton, I have no one really follow. Hopefully someone will emerge this year.

I was really starting to like Gino Mader. That was a sad day.

About a month later, his teammate Mohoric won Stage 19 at the 2023 TDF. He might be worth following. Photo finish. Great interview.

Mohoric is a great bike racer. That interview showed the kind of charachter he has. He was happy to win but also felt bed for Asgreen and O'Connor because all of those guys worked their arse off in that stage.

This TDF could be one of the most competitive we've seen in a very long time. Stage 4 is where the contenders will rise to the top. I look for Pog and Rog to sit at the top with Jonas right behind. As the race goes on, Jonas will be the strongest at the end. Could be the final stage before the race is decided.

Cavendish isnt as fast as the other sprinters on topend speed but, he has a 50-60 meter burst that none of the other guys have. If he makes to the end of a stage, he has a shot. His experience can win a stage. We will see how that plays out.

Might be...interesting there was no big teams going for them to catch up. Guessing the crash with Van Aert altered that

May see one of the top 3 make a move on this final ascent.

Haven’t paid enough attention to see this year’s routing. Which famous climb(s) are included? L’Alp du Huez I hope?

Galibier, Peyresorde, Tourmalet,
Pla d'adet, Madelelene, and Luz Ardiden are the most famous. There are several others that are super hard.

Sounds like Tadej dropped out of the sprint to stave off the yellow but it was too late.

Maybe Remco and Carapaz showing up so late changed his plans but he would have had to give up a second or two to Jonas to pass it to Remco and that would have been worse than being in yellow.
