There's only one scenario IMO where OSU gets in, unless Clemson loses tonight:
OSU and TCU have to win. That's it.

I mean it did answer the question. The committee was right. You using ex post facto reasoning is dumb

This is not your momma’s Bama. You could see this loss coming for weeks. They are very flawed. I honestly don’t think they’re one of the best 4 teams right now.
True on your first point, but I think they would be favored over all other competitors for the last spot or two.

quote:"Two losses" is an extremely arbitrary criterion
Conference champ should get preference unless they have three losses.
If the goal is to select the four best teams OSU shouldn't be anywhere close

I fail to see how the result of the game support that. You got in on name and got waxed.

For me, today reaffirmed that Ohio State should not be in the payoff, no matter what happens with Wisconsin!

THIS SYSTEM MAKES NO SENSE
This is precisiuly why there needs to be more than 4 teams. With that said, I still do not feel Ohio State should be in the final four.

I'd be cool if they expanded it to 8 with the Big 5 getting automatic bids with 3 at-large bids. Would take a little bit of the uncertainty out of it

Why OSU over ND or USC
Because Notre Dame is a shite team that got blown out by Miami and lost at home to Georgia despite an hilarious amount of help from the refs. They shouldn't even be near the top 10. Neither should USCw, who is even worse than ND.

All this arguing shows one thing...
This committee is retarded. Nobody knows the criteria...it's like the Star Chamber. Some secret - whatever floats their boat. Hell, who knows if the Networks aren't paying these clowns off to pick certain teams...or hell, the Conferences. I wouldn't put it past the SEC to pay off the Committee to have two teams in there.
Conference Champs...decide it on the field. Take away the chance of bribary and political network TV pressure...like that campaigning by teams we used to see.

It's 2017 and CFB is still using humans to determine this shite. Nothing is more transparent than 13 people hiding in a hotel room devising a way to put their 4 teams in.

I can’t complain if Alabama goes over Ohio State simply because of the Iowa loss. That being said, Alabama’s resume is dogshit.

Needs to be a computer formula to decide that factors in SOS.
Get human involvement completely out of the equation.

It’s baiscally 2017 OSU vs 2015 OSU.
2015. OSU (ie Alabama) trailer by 1 second the entire year with 1 loss and was jumped by a 2 loss Stanford Team when it was all said and done.
2017 OSU would be more like that Stanford team

Basically comes down to what is more important, bad wins or bad losses. Bama hasn’t beat anyone, but they also haven’t been embarrassed by a scrub.
