Get ready Bama as one seed...
Bama should be very nervous especially about Wisconsin winning

We have two criteria that don’t mesh. If you are going to give titles and banners to division and conference championship winners, then make it mean something. If not, just play 12 games and pick your 4 favorites. Why go through the charade of winning a championship, and playing an extra game against a top team, if it ultimately doesn’t mean anything?
Could you imagine if at the end of the season the NFL arbitrarily picked the “best” teams and left out a couple of division winners? Everyone would lose their minds. But for some reason we are ok discounting records, head to head and conference championships for the college game.
If this is the way it works, an undefeated team could, should, take an L to skip the championship game and rest. “Well darn, we lost.”

Bama is a lock.
I don't think so. People keep bringing up Ohio Stat from last year but they had 3 wins over teams that finished in the top 10 (2 on the road, including Big 12 champ Oklahoma).

How is Clemson ranked #1 when they lost to a bad Syracuse team? Only two wins over the top 25?
Bama has a single loss to the #4 team at their place with 3 wins vs the AP Top 25.

why not 12-1 Wisconsin?
best record of all 3 teams
best record of all 3 teams

With by far the weakest schedule. Not a single win over a top 25 team

They say quite a bit, actually. They show how weak Bama is this year. Neither team belongs, but if it comes down to those two, Bama belongs less.
wrong as usual

Because the committee says so?
Nope.

Ohio State opened as a TD favorite vs. USC. The largest margin for all the Top 10 games.
Vegas believes they are one of the Top teams in the country or more importantly that they believe the nation believes they should be in the playoff to make it 7 to 7.5.

That's the required criteria per the CFP bylaws the committee members are to consider when deciding between 2 comparable teams apparently the committee members ignored most of that when selecting Bama over tOSU bc "55-24!!!" oh give me a break OSU won the games that mattered and are one of the best teams in the nation with an incredible HC, Alabama lost their game that mattered i.e. got thrashed in the Iron Bowl and now possess ZERO SEC titles. Hell, Bama isn't even as good as was in years past they struggled to beat Mississippi State and A&M and are weakened on defense with season-ending injuries-another factor the committee is required to consider.
