I was going to ask about this earlier, so I did this search instead.
Not that I got it for Scone's show...I'm tired of hearing how him "almost getting a football scholarship" qualifies him as someone who can relate to every single football player at the collegiate or even NFL level. How many times must I hear about him going to Holy Cross Community College in South bend, IN? Who the hell does that?
His show needs a new kick in the arse. It's rehashed info that Hannigriff and co. already give. The "Around the SEC" feature is even bothering me. Actually, I think it's just him. When he tries to be the "OMG! WHAT!?" voice, it just doesn't come over well. He's trying to hard and it's unoriginal. Still, what else is there to listen to at 4:30ish on a weekday drive home? "License to Win" with Scotty Drake? I appreciate that he's a newly wed, but the advertising that affirms he and his wife have done this and done that...quite a lifetime in a year of marriage, Scone man.
Bottom line...if he was all THAT, he wouldn't need to take calls. He should eliminate that aspect, but that is a huge reason why people listen, I would imagine.
And where did Condon go? Songy? I have been out of the loop.
* But I have the app so I can hear all shows that come on, because every dog has his day and at least BR finally got something local on FM that can be heard on a smartphone.

If he still gets sponsors for that low of a dial, then he's better with advertising than anyone I know. Maybe he's breaking even or losing $$$, but the fact that he's still on is mind-boggling.
