Who cares? Bama didn’t do enough to earn a spot. “Best” is an eye test. “Most deserving” deals in numbers and facts. If we’re going to go “best”, then why play the games? The “best” team doesn’t always win a game or else we’d never have upsets. At a certain point, it needs to be about what happened on the scoreboard over the course of an entire season.
