id be liquidating that mercy percy, i had a larger stake in MO and I took my capital gain and moved on recently. 3.5% yield does not match a low growth stalwart like MO which yielded 9% after it spun off. Just my opinion of course, it wouldve been a lifetime hold for me, ive had it nearly 20 years but this is an incredibly stretched valuation and the dividend payout ratio is just not there.
The market has gotten nutty I had to let go of another all time favorite of mine the monopoly known as MKC recently. I also let half my PM go over $100/share

They've dipped down since your prediction. How much cash did you throw at them and how confident are you now?

Thanks to all who replied.
Janky--I've been looking at that thinking it's cheap for what it is. I can't tell if you're kidding about the trump part though.
Flask--interesting. Never heard of it, but value your opinion. Will read into it.
Sarge--gotta come clean..I know you're a smart guy.
Cwill--kick myself daily on that one..had an order in to buy on day one (we know how that mess went). Thought I was lucky when it canceled...20$ was my buy point when it sank, never pulled the trigger.
Bigfella--MO was the greatest stock ever with all the spinoffs. Guess there's nothing left now but tobacco?
Eta--forgot about their sab stake...and wine too, right?
Some interesting picks all around..hope they work out for everybody.

If ETFs count, KYN
Bought heavily on the oil drop scares, all spaced out, but the largest purchase was lucky enough to be near the bottom at 11ish
Around 23% of my security portion of portfolio.

Serious as a heart attack, which coincidentally GILD will probably save me from death.

To those with over $10,000 in a single stock, did you buy this all at once at the same price or over time keep investing into them as long as the price seemed worth it? Are they also a bigger chunck of your portfolio?
I'm new to all of this as far as putting skin in the game. Been an outside-looking-in observer for a few years.
Are you also contributing to funds?

My $26k in COP is 49% of my portfolio. It's a major gamble but I'm counting on oil rising this year and it'll lift my portfolio faster than diversity. However I plan on breaking this 26k into 10-12 companies within 12 months. I'm a big DGI so I'd love to see some compounding begin.

1.37 shares of Berkshire Hathaway. Thinking about dumping it before Buffett dies.

I'm still in and still confident. $30k. I'm holding this one.

Got roughly $40k each in MMP and EPD, it's not a lot, but not peanuts, either. January and February presented some deals.

Since this got bumped, I gotta ask.,,,what's your plan with GILD when Hillary wins? Are you afraid she will crush it?
