I don’t have either kind of IRA yet, but don’t meet income requirements for Traditional, so I plan on doing the backdoor Roth. My question is can I still do the backdoor process for 2023, assuming it’s before April 15 of this year. Or was December 31 the deadline for 2023?

Yes, you can still do it.

I think you are confusing doing a late contribution with backdooring though.

And roth ira has an income limit, traditional does not.

Are you under the threshold to just go straight into the Roth? Preferable for sure.

Yeah I just realized no one said the actual date. 4/15/24 for 2023 contributions.
