Yeah, but all of you talking high interest rates were buying homes for 30k. Let's not act like you guys were financing 300k for these mass produced trailers builders pump out today.

The feds started the up tix when Trump grew the market. He was complaining they should keep them low for a period to spur growth. This has been happening for a few years.

We locked in our rate at 4.75% back in June, but my brother-in-law said that rates were about to go up.

I just sold a rental and our main house due to moving to philadelphia. Im just going to rent for a year or two and hope prices fall due to rates rising.

Don't be a women. Housing market is slightly political. He didn't say anything wrong.

Housing is tied to interest rates. Fed has raised rates 7 times since Trump became president. Under Obama in 8 years Fed raised rates once. Trump is not disagreeing rates need to go up, but 7Q in a row is too fast and certainly looks political in nature.

With rates going up, can we expect the housing market to slow and home prices to level out or drop some?

My first mortgage was about 7% in 2005. It definitely wasn't on a 30k house.

I've definitely noticed a slight stall in the market, too. I got in at 4.75 conventional in August but I imagine it's closer to 5 now.
