The first time I've ever really tried to played pharmas was a month ago...and still, I'm not really here for a day trade, but more of an 18 month hold. Is it a gamble? Perhaps. Do I know that?
bayoubengals, no offense, but your posts tell me that you do not have a lot of time in the market and on top of that inexperience, you are playing in the biotech arena.
You bet your arse.

I took a small position on CERU when it was at $2.34 a share, sold today at $3.27.
Got out of AUPH on Tuesday at $8.23/share...kicking myself for not selling Monday afternoon but still saw a nice 30% profit from it.
I'm down on CBR and CERC as of now. Keeping close eye on them to see what they'll do.

im re-entering AUPH now at 7.52
i *think* that is the end of the dilution

the offering is $6.75 why do you believe $7.52 is the end of the dilution? What was the peak the other day? dilute that by 33% bc thats how many new shares are coming but they dont hit for a few more days.....maybe you're right, I dont know, nobody knows, but institutional investors will be paying $6.75 in a few days if you wanna pay a little more than them and by little I mean 13% more give or take then thats fine but i gave you a heads up the other day on what was probably going to happen....

Im not trying to be a wise guy, Im just trying to understand the train of thought bc take a property as an example. If Market Value is $1,000,000 then why would you willingly pay $1,130,000 when the exact same property just sold for $1,000,000. We know the neighbor paid $1,000,000 for the exact same one, in this case the exact same shares you're acquiring at $7.52 will be acquired at $6.75. Are you so 100,000,000% sure the stock will rise that you're willing to pay that premium bc at this moment, you're paying more than the market price which $6.75. The buyers at $6.75 would probably love to sell their $6.75 shares to you at $7.52 today, I know I wouldn't cry over a quick turnaround like that.
Also are you a chartist at all? A very bearish head and shoulders appears to be forming on the hourly chart, take a look if you dont believe me, it appears to have broken below the neckline as we speak...

I'm seeing a cup and handle
And I appreciate your insight. So all good. You've been doing this longer than most.

you may be looking at different timeframes, on the hourly this is what's there, do you see the head and shoulders I'm talking about? Sorry I don't know how to resize it but you can see on the small image

Do you see the line and the break below the head and shoulders? If it can close above that line it could be bullish again and clearly a huge gap to be filled above. For now though, its got a double top, lower highs and lower lows looking on the chart combined with a break below the neckline. All that combined with a $6.75 offering soon and it doesn't look like a time to go long but of course, the charts can indeed be wrong, I personally try to buy when the chart aligns and the setup looks good, but you're buying on fundamentals which are 2 different things.
