If anyone had crypto lost when voyager went to shite they sent out checks today. About 1/3 of total value lost

That's pretty impressive they were able to claw back that much. Assuming they paid out in cash

I’m guilty of trusting voyager. Thankfully I pulled my assets out before it all went to hell

I got a third value in crypto and another third in cash. Not terrible .

So they are sending physical checks?

Yup.
You can set up an account and see what your owed at investvoyager.com
Mine showed pending but I checked my USPS Informed Delivery and saw the check was in the mail and got it today

I just checked the website and it still says pending on the check. Maybe I'll get mine this week

Happy to receive the $$$. However, Claim Value was calculated at 70% on date of declared bankruptcy when coins were at low values. Received first installment “in kind” so that worked in my favor since one bitcoin was transferred one for one. Unfortunately, I had several bitcoins (and ETH) so todays check was substantially less than todays coin values. Still more than I originally anticipated when it went belly up.

If you were just a holder, obviously that doesn't help you as you received less crypto. But still very interesting how these things can shake out in crypto vs stocks.

If this happened with a legitimate brokerage firm you’d be fine regardless. Inconvenienced, sure, but fine. The stock is yours and not commingled with the firms funds.
Perhaps to your point though, you’d get paid back in kind regardless. You’re not going to get liquidated out of your position.

Got my check today. Thanks for the heads up or I would have probably just thrown it away thinking it was just court material that I've thrown away multiple times. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount

Assume the Voyager payout is only to those who actually held crypto in their Voyager account. I did not hold any crypto with Voyager, but I did have a good bit of Voyager stock. I assume Voyager stockholders like myself are still out of luck and will never be reimbursed.

Yeah that money is gone. Hopefully a tax write off if in a taxable account though

Thanks. My Voyager shares were in Roth and HSA accounts, so I am SOL. I did lose a sizeable amount on Voyager shares, but I did make a lot more on other crypto related investments, so I am still happy even though I was pissed originally.
