Had to edit the title.
Speculation is that Stock Talk dumped his shares causing a crash and halt.
Stock trading around $2
People are buying August calls for .35 at the FIVE STRIKE.
Yes, $5 calls that expire in august.
I bought the stock at $2 and sold the calls at .35 to .40
.35/2=0.175
That’s an automatic 17.5% received in premium to sell shares at 150% gains.

I'm confused why you are using the term arbitrage. You still own the downside right?
Posted on 6/5/26 at 11:58 am to TigahsOnTop
Yes. I own the downside so that’s always a risk.
I’m just wondering why people are spending so much on calls so far out of the money.

I'm not a big options trader, but doesn't an implied vol that high just show that the market is pricing in huge swings? So that's why you can get a nice premium for selling an option?
Yeah 17% is nice but its a lot less nice when you can easily get wiped out

I bought some after reading Stock Talk bragging on X how much he’s up. Of course it took a nosedive after I got in. Fivn also.

He literally rugged everyone.
No rules against it, but damn

You bought something and called it "arbitrage" and it proceeded to tank 40%. We have different definitions of arbitrage

That’s why I bought.
The drop was oversold and exacerbated by nothing fundamental to the company.
Stock Talk’s play book is to cut positions on weakness where the chart has broken down.
Immediate momentum broke down (the 9 Day EMA), so he moved on while his position was still near 100% higher.
Having opened his position at $1.57, he made money all the way down, as he and his discord unloaded.
I bought the panic as his thesis still stands.

crash and halt.
We might be entering a new phase in the market if more tickers start “halting”. Wait until entire exchanges and trading platforms halt.
BUCKLE UP BOYZ!

Unconfirmed but I think he got margin called. Closed 6 positions this week, discussed making trims and balancing his portfolio. Since he posts position %’s you can’t tell if he sells 5% across the board.

That makes sense. He had thousands of contracts in several names that got destroyed.
2025 FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
The company posted a strong recovery in 2025, driven primarily by a rebound in their Cross-Industry Business (audio-video) segment.
* REVENUE: $70.6 million (A 22.1% increase compared to $57.9 million in 2024).
* EPS (GAAP DILUTED): -$0.31 per share (An improvement from -$0.35 per share in 2024). Net loss totaled -$31.6 million.
2026 CURRENT PICTURE AND GUIDANCE
Valens reported its Q1 2026 earnings on May 13, 2026, beating the top end of their own guidance and signaling a stronger second half of the year.
* Q1 2026 REVENUE: $16.9 million (Beating management’s guidance of $16.3M–$16.7M).
* Q1 2026 EPS: -$0.08 GAAP per share (Non-GAAP EPS was -$0.05, beating analyst estimates of -$0.10).
* Q2 2026 GUIDANCE: Revenue is projected to step up to $17.2 million to $17.6 million, with gross margins improving to 60%–62%.
* FY 2026 GUIDANCE: Management reiterated their full-year revenue guidance of $75.0 million to $77.0 million (representing roughly 8% growth at the midpoint).
BALANCE SHEET, BURN RATE, AND MARKET CAP
The stock is trading remarkably close to its liquid cash value.
* CASH ON HAND: $86.1 million (Includes cash, cash equivalents, and short-term deposits as of March 31, 2026). The company carries zero debt.
* BURN RATE: In Q1 2026, net cash used in operating activities was $5.1 million (an improvement from $7.6 million used in Q1 2025). This equates to a runway of roughly 16 quarters (4 years) of cash at the current burn rate if revenues were to completely stall.
MARKET CAP: Based on Friday's closing price of $2.11 and approximately 105.7 million shares outstanding, the market cap sits right around $223 million.
The Back-of-the-Envelope Math: With $86.1 million in cash and zero debt, VLN's Enterprise Value (EV) is roughly $137 million. The market is effectively valuing their entire operating business, IP, and future growth at less than 2x guided 2026 revenue.
RECENT CONTRACT AND DESIGN WINS
Valens continues to cement its position in the automotive sector, pushing the MIPI A-PHY standard for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
* 4TH MAJOR AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN WIN: In January 2026, Valens secured its fourth major design win for its VA7000 MIPI A-PHY chipsets. This contract is with a premium global automotive manufacturer serving the Chinese market, with mass production slated to begin in 2027.
* ECOSYSTEM INTEROPERABILITY: During Q1 2026, they demonstrated the first three-company interoperable SerDes link. This establishes a multi-vendor ecosystem, making it significantly easier for global automotive OEMs to adopt Valens' standard architecture moving forward.
Sorry, but I just don’t understand how a 60% gross margin business is trading at 3x forward revenue…
So I bought.

Looks like a stock to trade just in the last 2 years.
1.91 to 3.39
1.67 to 3.50
1.73 to 3.34
1.37 to 2.72
1.10 to 3.71
And to be patient at sitting on bags if it dies under $2. Traders do this stuff with Indo too but one time it’ll not come back at the price you get and it’ll just sink into a lower trade range.
No clue why $5 calls were worth 30 cents tho on a stock that hasn’t been over $5 since early 2023.
