Opening the account in a few weeks with @ $13,000. 20-25 year horizon with moderate risk tolerance; really like blue chip stocks for long term investments. Any allocation / specific fund suggestions? THANKS. FM

I like VEIPX for this profile.

Rolling over from somewhere else?

Yes, rolling over from an Ameriprise Roth IRA account.

Hijack, but is the max you can rollover to a Roth? My tax bracket will never be lower more than likely, and I will be rolling over a state retirement account of my wife's.

Here's kind of where I am headed:
35% - VEIPX - blue chip stock index
15% - VWIGX - international
15% - VGSIX - real estate index
20% - VBMFX - bond
15% - VBR - small cap

VEXMX is a great small/mid cap combo fund. It's been my best performer over the past couple of years.

With only $13,000, I would consider focusing on a single heavily diversified (likely index) fund so I can take advantage of lower cost Admiral share funds.
