Would appreciate a simple explanation of the Advice Platform Fee to start in 2024 as opposed to having to transitioning into another category called "Personal Advisor."

What will you select?

We received one. We're going to ask our advisor about it.

I suppose that I will do that too. Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to get some clarity from a non-salesperson.

My wife and I have the bulk of our retirement at Vanguard. My IRA falls under the limit specified in the letter but with my wife's money, we're well above it. So, I'm not sure it applies to me directly since all of our accounts are listed under my wife's name.

Hope this helps....

I left vanguard months ago and I’m happy I did.

They don’t have any dominance in the low cost funds race anymore.

Their politics are incredibly worrisome.

Their app and user interface is garbage compared to others.

I always had issues with certain investments on vanguard. Specifically inverse etfs, which I’ve used effectively for the last 9 months or so since we made the switch.

We switched both of our IRAs and our brokerage to Schwab. Not perfect but the app/site user experience alone made it worth the switch.

It’s like moving from a Model T to a Lamborghini

I will get the scoop soon. Vanguard emailed me to schedule an appointment for Friday November 24th.

I dumped Vanguard a few months ago and put in Fidelity. Not happy with Vanguard’s direction & politics.

I had a very pleasant conversation with the Vanguard associate. We will follow up November 30th. Cursory advice was to dissociate from "Select." More later.

Via Benefits was the administrator my employees savings plan but it was moved to Fidelity. Fidelity makes it difficult to take a 401K RMD. I am almost 100% S&P Index Fund and do not want to hear about all the other options. Fidelity's new way around getting information about your personal investment income and portfolio is insisting on them requiring a W-4P Tax Form. Fidelity already has my W-4 form on file and I am not a new beneficiary. More later.
