My 1 million umbrella was about $325 but i had to bump up auto coverage. I raised my home and auto deductibles to offset the additional insurance cost.

Theres no reason to keep deductibles super low when you have the cash to pay it.

Just bought a $2M dollar umbrella policy from Travelers.
Already had $250K/$500K/$100K liability coverage including UIM with same limits. Had to raise Homeowners liability to $25K.
Pay $28.06 per month for the umbrella policy.

SF I had to go to 250/500 on my cars, but the umbrella added another type of policy that provided and additional discount that negated the rise in premiums from 100/300 to 250/500.

Your Multi line discount increased 5% bc of the umbrella.

Make sure you're getting all available discounts.

What are you guys insuring yourselves to percentage wise of your net worth? Seems like $1M and $2M policies are quite low.

From the Allstate link,

"Personal umbrella insurance typically doesn't cover other business-related liabilities such as a malpractice lawsuit, or losses in connection with your paid position as an officer or member of a governing board of a for-profit organization. "[
