However the US dollar is legal tender for all debt, public and private.

Yet the feds can just print out more money to devalue our money. Good thing the FEDs care and wouldn't do this to us poors.

They have harnessed the power of desperation.

I thought Uber is leasing vehicles to drivers. Am I wrong about that?

I got an Uber X (lowest cost option) ride last week and was picked up in a Tesla 3.. the second time my Uber has been a Tesla.. the driver told me that he rented it thru Hertz, which has an arrangement thru Uber, and the driver told me it cost him $450 per week.. which surprised me since , by my math, he’d have to do a ton of driving after paying $1800 a month for the car.. and the kicker is, he said he’d just bought a new Camry for cash that he usually utilizes for driving Uber.. i guess he was just trying out the Tesla thing for a week or two.. b/c , even factoring in wear and tear and the cost of gasoline, you would seemingly come out way, way ahead if driving Uber with a bought and paid for Toyota IMO .

Crypto should be considered a pseudo commodity more than currency. It doesn’t truly meet the definition of money defined in economics.

Its value is driven by its utility (anonymity for transactions) and how much love it’s getting from the market.

One could argue that there is an equity similarity with the Web 3.0 application and mining, but that’s still not “currency.”

To be fair, with your logic... "real money" is just pieces of paper, so it's all fake. It's a representation of a value to barter with for goods or services. It isn't like the dollar is backed by gold or any "real" item anymore.

To be fair it's backed by the US Government and the might of the US military.
