I believe there are still some traders that use the range for their stops. I don't know how many, nor do I know how large they trade. But tomorrow is Friday, which means that some short sellers will want to close their positions to avoid getting surprised Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. I wouldn't be surprised to see a green close tomorrow.

Interesting info. I'll be watching it. Please keep updating the chart if you have time to post it here.

Regarding tomorrow's opening, the Dow futures now are up just under 300 points.

So we need to see the S&P go above 2654 for sustained buying pressure? If not then the selling pressure will hold and we continue to go lower? Am I reading that correctly?

The S&P closing above 2654 today is like seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. You aren't out of the tunnel yet, but you can see the end.

Of course, that's assuming it doesn't turn into a bull trap, in which case our light was actually an oncoming train.

Lol, going south fast. Lots of stocks in keeping an eye on are about to get pretty affordable as far as I’m concerned

It looks like /CL, the crude oil futures, and /ES, the S&P 500 futures, have a positive correlation. And while crude oil is establishing new monthly lows while /ES isn't (yet?), they're going down together. Worse, crude oil has both a 1 day and a 3 day pivot range hanging over its head that'll hinder upward movement in crude today. But there's still time left today, so let's see what happens.

Last couple days have had major volume in last 30min-1 hour of trading. I’d imagine smart money is waiting to see the trend at the close whether to buy? I’m hoping so at least.
