Do you know how deep Uber & Lyft run losses? This is not a positive for Tesla. Tesla has no singular focus and for what?
They have had to rewrite their entire Autopilot code that won’t be finished for 2-4 months and Elon doesn’t know if it’ll be safe enough to roll out. He tweeted this a few days ago.
But yet, he’s going to lead in Autonomous driving, vehicle building, ride-hailing, apparel/merchandise, batteries (range & storage), solar, etc?
If he wants to be a software company he should stop building cars and license his technologies out.

Yeah, you forgot rocket company too though.
While I don't think there is any chance their ride sharing will be available for at least two years they are extremely close already. I use autopilot in my Tesla daily and it's incredible what it can do. It's also incredible what they have added and improved for it in just the past 4 months

No, people overstate the connection between the two, they really don't have much to do with each other other than sharing some engineering.
