Bought a pretty fully loaded 2020 Ram 1500 Limited Crew Cab yesterday. The sticker price was $61,040 and I walked out of the door after TTL for 48,250
with 4 years of free maintenance and free weather tech mats included.
I feel so victorious.

I think it's Ram Truck Month this month, either 0% financing for 36 months or approximately $16k bonus cash. Did you finance through the dealer for 0% or take the $16k off?
Or take the $16k and immediately refinance through a bank/credit union?

Neither of those options exist for a 2020 Limited Trim line.
I got around 16k off of MSRP by the time it was all said and done and financed through BOA at 2.6% for 60 months.

NB4 should have paid cash and stay out of debt

Dodge/Ram does this all the time. It's part of the reason their resale is terrible. You really think they gave you almost 30% off before TTL without some gigantic factory incentive?

Do you have any point to what you are spewing?
Am I supposed to be unhappy with my vehicle because Thib-a-doe Tiger doesnt like it?
I'm not worried about resale. My trade in was a 2010 Chevy Equinox with 193,000 miles that stalled on the way to the dealer and I had to get towed in.
Point of the thread was to give props to a method that most people probably forget about since most people dont purchase vehicles often. Sorry that upset you.

It doesn't upset me at all, and he's correct with most of his method
That being said, it will not get you $16,000 off of a 61K truck without some factory incentive. I'm just trying to let people know that you shouldn't expect that.

All truck brands do this except Toyota fwiw. Not sure why you think it's unique to Ram.

Ram does it more often and with bigger discounts though. I worked for a company that purchased 40-50 Dodge/Ram trucks in a 5 year span, and we got that kind of deal on almost all of them due to some incentive they had at the time

So people can expect it then?
Not sure what the point of your initial comments were at this point.

Let me rephrase, without some kind of incentive, people shouldn't expect a 25-30% drop in the price of the vehicle based on WC's method.
Better?

I mean I guess the point was maybe a little silly. Of course not all deals will be exactly the same. If they were then that would just be the price.
Of course supply/demand and brand of vehicle and timing are going to significantly impact the deal you can get.
I also found the exact vehicle. Same exact sticker. Same color. Literally the same car at 2 dealers in Houston. I had them calling me left and right lowering the price and throwing shite in because they didnt want to lose the sale to the other dealer.
Hell, one of them offered to pay for my tow (I am AAA, so didnt need it) just so I would go to their dealership and both offered to come drive and pick me up

I still think the number of people getting a $48k truck is wayyyyy higher than the number of people who can afford a $48k truck.
Worse, the number of people who actually need a $48k truck is smaller than both groups above.

De-railing the point of the thread which was to give props and a reminder message of the value of taking your time and reading the set of thoughts laid out in Will Covers method.
Not seeking your thoughts on what you think an appropriate price point for a vehicle is.

This. Patting one's self on the back for paying $48,000 for a depreciating asset is not Money Board material.
