The title pretty much says it all. We are trying to decide on what bank to go with for our business account. Any recommendations?

Where are you located?

We've used Amegy and Texas Capital (for two separate businesses).

I liked both. Amegy is a blend of commercial and personal banking whereas TCB is primarily commercial banking/lending. Personally, I felt like TCB was always one step ahead of me in our commercial lines. They saw our daily balance and wanted to extend more credit to us without me even needing to call or ask.

If you're located in Dallas TCB all the way. Amegy if your in Houston.

RIP to Laredo National Bank. Was the best small business bank until it was acquired by Compass and they drove the small business service group into the ground.

We use Amegy Bank for all of our banking (operating accounts and line of credit). I can put you in touch with the person we use.

I can also connect you with someone at Stellar Bank, which is a bank just created with a merger of Allegiance Bank and Community Bank of Texas.

Someone is not a fan of Frost bank, both mentions have been downvoted.

Stellar appears to have the friendliest term and perks for small business. I will be in touch on that contact.

First National Bank of Falfurrias, TX. They're SW of Corpus Christi.

When the PPP loans came out and banks were ignoring the little guys I found this little bank. They helped many small businesses owners on TigerDroppings get PPP loans and get them quickly when other banks were unresponsive. If my company wasn't so far away from them I would do all of my business banking through them.

I use Homebank. It looks like they have five branches in Houston. I have been with them for a decade and it is incredibly easy dealing with them. Whenever I need loan, loc, etc., I pick up the phone and the funds are deposited the next day. Their technology is improving as well.

While Falfurrias is close to my heart as I love STX it is too far from Houston. I am old school and like to go into a brick and mortar from time to time.

Yeah, I though distance might be an issue.

Are there advantages of a credit union over a bank?
