The speculation was that it would be a contract for Cybertrucks, arguably the worst product in the Tesla lineup.
Supposedly, the state department has put the contract on hold and claims they have no intention of fulfilling it. Doesn’t change the fact Elon has received billions in government contracts.

Why do you feel like that is an issue? Lots of companies get government contracts. I'm glad they do, because the government isn't very proficient at doing anything. Are you really gonna say we shouldn't be giving SpaceX government contracts?

Because he is an unelected official advising our government on spending. A person who has received billions in government contracts should not have control over any facet of government spending unless elected to a position that grants that power. At the very least, his own contracts should be subject to the same scrutiny and review the current administration is giving everything else…but that will never happen. It’s a pretty obvious conflict of interest.

Literally the best businessman our generation has ever known is advising on how to fix the financial mess we are in and that triggers you?
Not only that, he is doing it for FREE.
The mental gymnastics some of you play is hilarious to watch.

Look, I’m all for getting rid of wasteful spending but running a private for profit business is not the same as running a government. If you think Elon is doing this for the common good of Americans, I have a bridge to sell you.
Also, if the roles were reversed and a democrat did this, the poliboard would literally implode from politard rage. But if two maga billionaires do it then it’s “saving America”…uh huh…I won’t hold my breath.

I'm open to hearing your thesis here. What is the richest man in the world after?
What is his play?

100% incorrect. I don't know a single Republican that would not be head over heels if a some lib came in and slashed the government by 30%.
Not a single one.

Oligarchy, is that not obvious?

Not talking about slashing spending. I meant if a democrat emulated this Trump/Musk partnership. Melts would be insane.

You are not really being clear or I am not understanding.
Not a single conservative would be upset if a liberal billionaire came in and cut spending 30%. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
And the liberals have a billionaire that works for them. His name is George Soros.
The only difference is Musk is not doing it behind the scenes. It is for everyone to see. Soros on the other hand....

Disagree. I am sure at least one conservative would be raging at having an unelected progressive guiding the president’s hand in spending cuts. Especially going about it in a way that is bordering unconstitutional (if not flat out unconstitutional).
I knew you’d mention Soros, I don’t like him either. To say Elon is being transparent is disingenuous though. A lot of what he is offering as proof/receipts is “trust me, bro”. We’ll see if he delivers on having receipts posted to the doge website tomorrow as promised.

All Presidents have advisors. What’s the problem? Just because it’s Trump? Just because it’s Musk? That’s the only difference I see.
Posted on 2/13/25 at 6:23 pm to UptownJoeBrown
All presidents absolutely do not have advisors with direct and unfettered access to the treasury payment system or the ability to “delete” government agencies. C’mon

Oligarchs didn’t just appear on Trumps watch….
Money has always dominated politics we just are now more aware of all the shenanigans since media is no longer controlled by a small group.
If DOGE is able to save taxpayer money that YOU pay or make government better/more efficient we all win. Including investors.
How many people have an interaction with any government entity and think they’re running a best practice shop?
Elon is already the richest person so I don’t think money is his main motivation.
He will go down as one of the most influential people of my lifetime. I don’t always like his antics but I’m riding with Tesla/Musk because he gets sh*t done.

False. They have advisors but mostly are employees of the Treasury. The only difference is Musk is not an employee.

False. Musk doesn’t have the power. He is an ADVISOR. Another lie thrown around to stop the uncovering of abuse and waste.
It’s just because it’s Trump.
Orange man bad.
Musk supports Orange man.
Musk bad.
Pure TDS. That’s all.

Ohh okay. Then maybe you can enlighten us and name some of our previous presidents’ advisors that were allowed to download data from the treasury payment system to private servers or were allowed to lock congressmen out of government buildings.

The only reason he hasn’t is due to court injunctions…coincidentally, he would also like to dispose of the judicial branch of government.

Sounds like a lot of the shite Democrats do or want to do.
Democrats are mad because of all the shite that’s gonna be exposed. You’re mad because you’re being gaslighted by MSM and TDS.

Since you seem ok with musk downloading your personal information are you ok with others doing the same? No? I didn’t think so.

If you think people in this day and age that want your personal information don’t already have it then you are asleep at the wheel. We freely give up so much already and the rest of it we sign up on various websites thinking we are safe and it’s not. Everything you do is already tracked and accessible to the right people. Sorry to break it to you.
