PINS
direct your attention to “free cash flow to the firm”
yes that is almost $1B

Where do you see PINS in 3 months?

in three months it could be 50 or it could be 100
it doesn’t matter
in three years though it will be a behemoth and that’s what I’m after. Of that I am confident. If they fail it at that it will be a failure of execution on the opportunity they have now

So what you’re saying is PINS is building cash for a stock repurchase — ala FB?

Help a rookie out. PINS is a good buy then?

Many many people think so. It’s been a Motley Fool tip consistently for about a year now

In hindsight, I think I need to change my portfolio management philosophy, especially in a bull market.
If a stock grows to more than 15% of my portfolio, I stop buying to make sure I have some diversification — even if it is mostly growth tech. I’ve missed out on a ton of potential growth in stocks I love ROKU, APPS, SQ, PINS, etc. over the last few months because I stopped buying all of those stocks when they were 50-75% less than their current price. Should have just kept investing...

this is a bull market
once you find winners they must be fed
when that changes we will know
until then buy/hold/buy more
these opportunities do not last forever. Now is the time to be bold.

I just added to PINS and ROKU today. Need to go find a few more that I expect to run. I am looking for solid contributors as my more speculative plays are lined up for now. One I really have liked for a while is Pentair. I initially bought in the 30s last year. They are the pool fitting and chemical company. Guidance has been solid and I think they are a year end $70 PT.

Is there a certain % pullback that you look for before adding to an existing position?
Looking at some of my growth winners, buying on pullbacks to the 50 day MA or even 5% below, would have been great opportunities.

the 50-day is a widely accepted buy signal for an otherwise growing company, and easy to set an alert for.
its crucial to learn the unique trading patterns of the stocks you want to hold and add to though, so you can set your own custom alerts

Give me a 20-1 AMZN split announcement during earnings today and I’ll be set.

My distribution from TSLA & PLTR early last week into ETSY, ROKU & SQ has more than paid off

I averaged down on SWKS yesterday and this morning. 105 @ $136.
I don't check my stocks or this board often but this thing finally hit with fire earnings last week and a 2 billion stock buy back. Luckily, I increased my position to over 300 shares in October all at 136 DCA.
