Sell program took me out at $250 today. Been a great run. Doesn’t look like it’s over but I got more than I bargained for

so if you see something exploding pre-market and is a 2, you put in a stop limit order if it hits like 1.7 (in case it goes down)?

keeping eye on SENS, CURI, TSM, JMIA
For JMIA, it's hard to imagine them blowing out earnings in a way that warrants their current stock price and they're due for an offering to raise some cash. It feels like a pullback is coming, but the question is if it still keeps running before then.
If I had some balls, I would short it prior to earnings with the hope that they announce an offering during the call.
Either way, I think there are still buying opportunities on the horizon.

LLNW up 7% today. Announced Bob Lyons as new CEO effective Feb 1. Maybe my dead money in this stock will start moving. Previous CEO was an idiot.

I’m back in LLNW as of today.

So in your case if you put in 1.7 as your limit, you may or may not get that depending on what others put in as their limit when they are selling. So your 1.7 could buy you some stock real quick, or might not get assigned. It all just depends. If you want to get in right then, just put your limit price at the current price or a tad higher.

I'm never going to make myself sell if INS and ETSY keep getting their targets raised.

this is the fricking 3rd time i have gotten screwed by public offerings in the last week.
Posted on 1/20/21 at 4:09 pm to xxTIMMYxx
it's been a frustrating week. first, I completely botched a buy trying to add 900 bucks to TLRY and accidently bought 900 shares for 20k...immediately lost 1500.
then, 2 of the penny stocks are down a decent amount. one because of a public offering. down 900 in total for both. another i bought back in a 1 dollar avg, but for some odd rule i didn't know about it changed by buy in cost to 1.36 (higher than when i sold. haven't even seen it that high.
nvta just had a public offering. was up big. that will probably dissipate.
i need a xanax. i will recover. i am getting too loose. need to go back to what made me successful before.

offering is at 55.86
understand that this is a sale to their primary investors to raise the cash...6 firms own 50% of the company. their largest holder is ARK Invest

logically i think we can infer that they are paying off the archerDX acquisition with this raise. this is a good thing
CML pro subscribers just got a lengthy update dossier on NVTA with much to digest

Yes, I like this news. Short term pain - stock will immediately drop to the new offer price, but the company and stockholders will reap rewards.

I actually own 2023 leap calls on NVTA rather than common stock.

How much does that cost?

I bought $40 leaps for 2 thousand dollars a few weeks ago. Basically it works out to just being 2x leverage or so.

ARK made 162MM on TDOC today increasing their stake to over 2B

I have EDIT on my watch list. Bought in late 2017 and wish I would have put in more. Set up a small recurring weekly investment to buy in more over the next year.
Of course it's down almost 11% right after I post it. Bought more today after the slide. I'm in long so maybe a good thing.
