While I was downtown tonight I snapped a pic of the NYSE for you baws. One of my fav trees in NYC and no crowds like Rockefeller. Worth a stop whenever this COVID shite passes and if you’re in NY during the Christmas season.
It’s been a hell of a year. Cheers, everyone.

Please correct if this is wrong. Trying to understand options better myself
Somebody is betting that in Jan of 2023 PINS will be significantly above $100
They paid $27K (1,000 shares at $27) today for the right to buy $70K (1,000 shares at $70) 2 years from now.
Total price per share would be $27 + $70. So to break even the price would need to be $97 in Jan 2023. But they obviously want to make money and risk losing the $27k entirely so they are betting that it will be significantly above $97
Mostly incorrect. Someone made a 2.7 million dollar bet that PINS would be higher than 97 in Jan 2023.
Great to see if you are long PINS for the longterm. But flows of this size on this time frame are not "sure things". I'd say somewhat significant. These positions can always be closed tomorrow if PINS jumps, but longer term options trades like this are mostly "stock replacement" and the person will hold the position for quite some time. Less capital used to get long the stock.
FYI I am long PINS

great explanation
100,000 shares of PINS would cost 7.2MM today
the bet is that 2.7MM in premium will “hold” 100,000 shares at 70 with a 2.7 MM dollar discount from the trading price in March 2023

Sold half of my 12 contracts yesterday for a small profit. Still holding 6 that expire by 1/8/21
Been waiting for this.

I got lucky and sold off right at the peak after earnings, then bought back in the 50's. I probably will not sell a single share of it again, though.

MGNI still rocketing upwards. At some point,I’d like to get on that but I’m afraid I’m too late and it’s due to drop. Stilll has a 100% buy rating though. Im tapped out on what I’m going to put in the market for the year though so I’d have to seek off something to buy any. Looking to see what moves I can make. All staying pretty stabile today.

I started a small position in MGNI at 24--wish I bought it when I mentioned it a couple weeks ago while it was under 20, just didn't have available cash.
I think longterm, 31 will look like a great price and in a reasonable market we would get a pullback to the low 20's for an entry. I said the same about JMIA and look where that is, so who knows where it goes from here.
The digital advertising space is starting to get crowded. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out. We will likely see some of these smaller firms with innovative tech get bought up and mergers between others--like what happened to create MGNI.

Anyone in Hyllion, do you think it will get out of its 17-18 range anytime soon? A few ppl seem to be positive on this but I watched a guy last night breakdown a graph and said it could go to 12 or lower sooner than later. Want to get out while I can if that is true.

agreed.
which is why i prefer ROKU/ETSY/PINS as the way to stay exposed to escalating ad revenues. i'd rather buy the "where" than the "who" if that makes sense

I know, just saw that. Good to see it still rising since I was so damn late to the part at $185.
