I am with Safeco also, 3 years now. With a one year old fortified roof, my policy went from $4100 to $6950. $5000 wind deductible. My Independent Agent is shopping with other insurance carriers, waiting for results.

Just switched from Safeco to Allstate in Sulphur. Dropped from $7960 to $3900. Apples to apples comp. Kept vehicles w Progressive though. Safeco treated me right for Laura 2020. Doesn't matter who you have or switch to, they're all going up

Yeah these two big Storms that hit FL this year will only make it much worse here.

USAA is sky high, may be even more than Citizens

I am paying a lot less with USAA than the numbers I am seeing on this board. Of course I don't live in LA.

I have banked with USAA for nearly two decades. Never used their insurance because it was always so high. This is the first time they have ever been competitive and they were significantly cheaper than my previous provider.

Working with them now for a pretty substantial claim from Helene. They've been easy to work with so far, but I'm starting to wonder what's going to happen when the recoverable depreciation conversation has to start.
