A family member passed away a few months ago and lived in a mobile home (1990 manufacture date, single wide, 2 bed/2 bath). It is still in decent shape, but no one in the family has a need for it so we are looking to sell it or possibly donate it. My guess is that even if given away, whoever takes it would incur significant costs in moving it to a new location. So another possibility is paying someone to demo it. Also, the landlord is wanting us to take it off the lot ASAP so time is not on our side once the succession process is finished in a month or so.

Any recs/tips from someone who has been in a similar position with a mobile home? This is in the Carencro area.

Thanks!

Someone will buy it to be utilized as a hunting camp. Keep the price low as you know it will be costly to have moved, but for the right price a coonass can do some unbelievable stuff. List it on Louisiana Sportsman and FB market place.

Ask landlord if he wants to buy it. He can make more $ renting the trailer than just the lot

I have sold two via Craigslist. I found that there was a pretty robust market for them. Sold a much older single wide in decent shape for $5k, and an early 2000s single wide in good shape for $15k cash. Buyers responsible for moving.

If you have to, give the landlord a couple hundred bucks to buy another month or so to get it sold. After you exchange title, it's not your problem anymore.

Yes, it is on a frame with tires.

Thanks everyone for the responses! This gives me a great start!
