We have no problem extraditing non US nationals in foreign countries for dealing drugs. We can't easily extradite a US citizen from a foreign country who ripped off billions? Doesn't add up

They have to build a case for something very complex. You have to prove intent.
Why SBF has not been arrested yet
Plus the idiot is still giving interviews, he obviously feels like he is going to get away with it. Might as well let him hang himself

This is an industry-changer, the investigations are going to be as thorough as possible, they'll build their usual completely airtight cases for charges,

He already missed the deadline for the Senate hearing, he was never going to show.

What really amazes me is how many seasoned VCs got suckered by a child wanting to play office. Seems like the very structure of FTX was a giant red flag.
I feel that's because too many go chasing after unicorns and rainbows and abandon sound investing principals trying to catch the next big wave instead of riding sustainable waves.
I don't know how much of that is driven by investment people trying to be the top of their field and how much of that is clients pushing their managers to take bidder risk?
Either way everyone gets hurt when stuff like this happens.

The way I heard it explained is that in the VC world, the risk of not betting on the next big thing is much greater than betting on a loser. You can take a lot of losers if you bet on the next big thing but if you miss the next big thing, you can't make up for the other losers.
