It has been discussed at length on OB but what are the financials of this?

How in the world does a large, respected, established gun and ammo manufacturer go out of business during a time when their product is flying off the shelves, price hiked, and backordered?

Because it's not their product going off the shelves

Because their quality has been terrible for years now.

However I was very happy with Remington's sale of Marlin to Sturm Ruger & CO. Ruger is producing some fantastic guns these days and will for sure bring respect back to the Marlin brand.

I liked their dove shells but I had some terrible luck with their guns. Good customer service though considering they shipped me 2 replacement guns and that had the same problem and ended up refunding my money, tax included.

Once Remington started mass producing cheap versions of their standard shotguns for Walmart, it was all downhill for them as far as quality.

I’ve never followed the stock but I’ve owned a few Remington rifles over the years. I looked seriously at a 700 BDL several years ago, but opted for a Weatherby once issues with accidental discharges began surfacing with the Remingtons.

I had been something of a fan of Remington rifles and Colt pistols. But other than older or antique model Colts, I haven’t considered buying either brand in years. I’m saddened by how much both brands have fallen.

I just bought a rem 380 for my wife, it has stellar reviews and a fine piece of metal.

And as we all know, people don’t kill people.... guns, all by themselves, kill people…
