Thanks for the heads up on Altman. Read up and they are selling it as opening up OKLO to sign contracts with all AI companies. I’m guessing Altman being tied to OpenAI was a potential conflict of interest issue.

Yeah, once people realized what the news actually meant, the stock reversed quite nicely.

I did too.. until I didn't.. been watching it daily.
I'd like to think modular nuclear reactors would be a great long-term investment, but as you say, I like the volatility of OKLO.
BWXT is a more mature in their journey. Less volatility & volume and far better ROE. Might be worth a look

I don’t see how this one can payoff. CEG is down 40% since companies started announcing they were tapping the brakes on data center growth…and they’re still earning $12/share. I can’t imagine modular reactors will be profitable before this company’s assets are picked clean in bankruptcy.

Long term it's not just AI. Quantum computing will require lots of energy too which will happen at some point. Nuclear will be a growth industry. I like OKLO but who becomes established remains to be seen though.

Nobody’s arguing that.
But, nothing about this stock’s growth appears organic. They seem uncompetitive in the industry and exhausted available funding sources. The whole purpose for Altman stepping aside is allow him to put his thumb on the scale of other projects to direct funding streams to OKLO and keep the dream alive.

said Tuesday that it had finished drilling to gather information about the proposed location of its first nuclear plant in what the company called a “pivotal step” toward the production of commercial power.
The clean-energy company has detailed at length its plans to construct its first Aurora powerhouse on the grounds of Idaho National Laboratory, one of the largest federally funded research labs in the U.S.

Oklo specializes in small modular reactors that produce less energy than traditional large reactors reactors but are easier to construct and deploy in response to ramping power demand. The company’s proposed design is meant to run on nuclear waste and only requires refueling once every decade.

As The New York Times reported Friday, the Trump administration is planning to release "several" executive orders aimed at accelerating construction of new nuclear power plants, and reactivation of older ones, in the United States. The actual language of the report, in fact, says the administration is calling for "swift and decisive" action that would cause a "wholesale revision" of federal safety guidelines on construction, aimed at cutting red tape and getting projects moving forward.

OKLO mania is back
trading for $65 currently, +23%

Oklo Inc. (NYSE:OKLO), an advanced nuclear technology company, has been issued a Notice of Intent to Award (NOITA) by the Defense Logistics Agency Energy (DLA Energy), on behalf of the Department of the Air Force (DAF) and the U.S. Department of Defense, to provide clean, reliable power through the deployment of an Aurora powerhouse at the Air Force installation selected for the project.
This project serves as the DAF's microreactor pilot to enhance energy resilience and reliability for critical national security infrastructure. The NOITA again designates Oklo as the apparent successful offeror following a comprehensive evaluation process.
Under the terms of the anticipated agreement, Oklo would design, construct, own, and operate the power plant, delivering both electricity and heat to the DAF's preferred installation, Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska, under a long-term power purchase agreement.

My Lambo vanity plate will have some variation of OKLO in it.

This is insanity. I’m calling it now, the catalyst for the next big run will be a fantastical announcement that ASTS will be powered by OKLO.

What are thoughts on OKLO lately? I bought the dip so I’m up nicely,,,, but wondering if it’s anticipated to grow more?
Posted on 7/23/25 at 10:36 am to meeple
Looks like it still has legs. Hope it holds.

Up 11% today. Building small modular (nuclear) reactors for things like data centers. First one to be operational is scheduled for 2027.
