im just starting to look for my first home. I also just started building credit a few months ago.
what i was approved for seemed fair being that i dont have much of a credit history and had been working "student jobs" until recently.
my question is, what is the best/quickest way to up your approval amount?
any help is appreciated
TIA

Your approval in itself is based off your credit history and score. Your AMOUNT is based more on your debt to income ratio. You either need to make more money or pay off some recurring monthly debt. Good luck.

i have no debt. thats the thing. i just started my career out of school maybe six months ago.
i guess, as i make more money, my amount will rise.
thanks for the help

Check your credit score online for a few bucks. That will let you know how credit worthy you are and based on it you can get a rough idea of how good of a rate you can get. And you'll be pre-approved for way more than is reasonable.

but you still have to deal with the debt to income ratio and i havent "hit my stride" yet with income since i just began my career.

So maybe you should wait then. Save up some cash for a downpayment. Pay off any loans like a car note.
