Question for louisiana, How do you get a house loan for 20k down with no proof of income.

Looking to buy in the 100k-120k Range
Cannot prove income as I work for myself
Have 20k to put down?

Im asking for a friend?

Could possibly find a person to do the mortgage or financing through, but certainly not any financial institution. They would look at personal tax returns if you are self employed and from what I am inferring is you do not report that income.

You can still prove your income. Unless you’ve been underreporting your earnings. Also adding that you’re asking for a friend is stupid, you gave it away with your initial statement

Lender is going to need your 2 most recent years tax returns. They will average the 2 years out to calculate your expected income. Hope you been doing your taxes right.
