Ionq is a pump and dump

But anyway, I would argue the “nothing ever happens” approach to technology

All that has happened with technology in the last 15-20 years or so is become more annoying. We haven’t really advanced since then and a lot of technology has gotten worse since the mid 00’s peak

The thing is quantum computing isn't the magic bullet people think it is, like it sounds fancy but when people don't understand is that yes it's kinda "magic" but not in a way that is really useful for the average consumer. Like, you can't run a game on one, can't launch an app on one, you can use one to break cryptography and solve math problems that are of interest and use of scientists and things that might underpin come consumer capability but it's never going to be a thing that flies off the shelves like an oculus rift

But you have an example like ASML. It's a super safe long term investment, which is why the price is soo high because they make the systems that Intel, TSMC, and other CPU manufacturers use to actually make the CPUs themselves. Intel is actually designing the cpus in software and then using the machine from asml to print them out. So unless computers go out of style, ASML will always be flush because they are an actual natural monopoly when it comes to making the most advanced chip lithographies, like 3nm CPUs

What is up with QMCO? Trading halt a few times for big jumps upward. Up 33% so far. Not finding any news.

What’s happening with DWave today? Just skyrocketed to a 52 week high. Not that I’m complaining.

Up over a thousand on 1,000 shares of RGTI in just a few days. Insane.
Might sell $5 calls

Companies like Rigetti would be a stock I would hold for a few years. Right now their quantum technology is basically in facilitating the cloud but it has promising applications. But they are actually running behind Northrop in the QC development. Northrop has made some breakthroughs with RQL (Reciprocal Quantum Logic)
