I know for a commercial broker you need take classes and then have a supporting broker authorize you before going on to being able to sell. After 3 years you can become a true broker and run your own shop if you like.

This is a link to the requirements for a salesperson.

Step one: 90 hour pre-licensing course, which can be taken online

Step two: Make application with the Louisiana Real Estate Commission

Step three: take state and national test

Step four: find sponsoring broker and make millions$$$$

You're not going to be able to do it.

If you are around the NOLA area, call up Donaldson RE School. They can walk you through it and let you know exactly what to do.

I got my appraisal stuff done over there, nice people. Always happy to recommend

It's on par with drivers license test just FYI. When I got mine I studied like it was the damn bar, what a waste of time, could have passed without ever opening a book

and to the other question, yes I work in a large firm and do mostly administrative work now. the HVCC was rough there for a while, but things have changed a lot since that first came about
