Honestly, seems like a mixed bag. Good news that they are extending it, which shows me they really want the deal to go through. Bad news, they must not be near the 50% yet...

They have a ways to go to get to 50%.

This could be a buying opportunity. I'll hold off for now, most of my profits are already locked up

If it quickly goes to low .20s, I'll start buying again.

This thing has been trading at around $.10 without the buyout. The people that currently run the company have basically admitted that they aren’t confident they can do better. Tendering or selling in advance of the tender deadline seem like the only two reasonable choices.

The stock price going up if the buyout falls through seems unlikely. It would require a new buyer to materialize or the current buyer to sweeten the offer to get over the 50% hump. I don’t think either of those scenarios is particularly realistic.

Why wouldn't everyone try to tender now? The .58 is known. It is uncertain how many years it would take management to get the stock to this level. Could take 5 years.

Honestly, I figured people just don't know how to tender their shares. You would be amazed how much a small hinderance will stop people from doing something.

I know someone with a LOT of shares and I told them you have to call to get them tendered....you would have thought I asked them to climb Mount Everest.

Don't mean to derail but didn't want to start a specific thread and clutter the board.

Does anyone here work for or own IMPP stock? Imperial Petroleum, a Louisiana company. They are going crazy today up 40%. Any insights?
